For the record, my favorite color is blue, and has been since early childhood. Purple runs a close second.
I used to get a ton of shit as a kid when I reached for the blue carton of milk (2 percent) instead of the red carton (whole milk) like all the other girls. "Pink is for girls! Blue is for boys!" the other kids said. "Is not! And anyway, that's not even pink! That's red!" was my response. "..... Girls aren't supposed to pick blue!" was their brilliant rebuttal.
::amused/irritated sigh:: Kids...
Would update more, but Mark has decided that watching PBS from the playpen is no longer amusing. Why can't he say "Mamamamamamaaaaaa..." when he's not upset/angling for cuddles? ^_^;
