Babies are wierd
Jul. 25th, 2007 03:00 pmMark was being a cranky little thing when I brought him home from WalMart around 11:30. Continued to be cranky/sleepy/dunWANNAgosleepy,mommy! while Dav came home for lunch; resisted my attempts to dance him to sleep in my arms while Dav ate and we quietly talked. When Dav left I took him upstairs and cuddled him to sleep, then set him down in his crib and went downstairs. That was around 12:30.
It's now three pm. He's still asleep. @_@ And appears utterly zonked out. Apparently the coolest of our local radio stations, "BOB FM, turn your knob to Bob!", is the perfect way to keep a baby sleeping soundly. They advertise that they play everything from Pink to Pink Floyd. My son's taste in music continues to break my brain. (This was the child who, as an infant, preferred the new BSG soundtrack to almost any other CD in the house.)
Much as I've enjoyed the peace and quiet, I hope he wakes up soon, or I'll be torn between feeding him lunch (which should have been at 2) and risking him not having any appetite for dinner, or not feeding him anything until dinner, which runs the risk of a really hungry baby tantrum. He's eaten as late as 3 pm a few times without it ruining his dinner, but not much later.
