Heeeee. I'd forgotten that line, although not how much Marcus rocks. He's not the Marcus Dav wanted us to name our first son for - the blame for that rests solely on Harry Turtledove's shoulders - but he's definitely another reason we can tell our boy to be proud of the name. :D

That's most emphatically one of my favorite quotes. Marcus is a fun character, who generally gets to do all the things nobody else is allowed to--and pays dearly for it sometimes.

"The next time you want a revelation, could you find a way that isn't quite so . . . uncomfortable?"

Or another favorite:
