Sep. 24th, 2005 07:00 pm::sigh:: I go away from the Net for a few days, thinking nothing of much importance will occur. And what happens? Something of importance does occur.
I just found out
_redpanda_, aka
kielle, passed away from cancer on the 22nd. She'd been diagnosed only a month ago. Apparently it was very well advanced.
I didn't know her very well, but I regarded her as a witty, intelligent, wonderful person. She affected the lives of a great many people on LJ and the Tolkien fandom at large, and she's going to be sorely missed. My heart goes out to her husband and their menagerie of well-loved pets.
Damn. I didn't even know her to talk on AIM, but this is making me want to cry. I liked her. Immensely.
'Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life.' Kielle was one of those who most richly deserved to live, long and well.
