Medicine recall signal boost
May. 5th, 2010 09:25 amLast week, Johnson and Johnson did a voluntary recall of a large number of its children's medicines. I only heard about it today. >_<
Story detailing the reasons for the recall is here: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/OnCall/childrens-tylenol-recall-fda-report-rips-quality-control/story?id=10558014
I am irked that there was no link in that article to the list of recalled products and lot numbers.
Link to the Johnson & Johnson website's page on the recall, complete with a full list of products and lot numbers affected is here: http://www.jnj.com/connect/news/all/McNeil-Consumer-Healthcare-announces-voluntary-recall-of-certain-OTC-infants-and-childrens-products
I just had to throw out Mark's Children's Tylenol, Children's Zyrtec, and a bottle of Children's Tylenol Plus Cold that we were saving for when he turns four. I also had to throw out Jack's Concentrated Motrin Infants' Drops.
Fortunately we have prescription cetirizine for Mark lurking in a cupboard somewhere, and baby Orajel for the teething Mr. Jack-jack. Otherwise we'd be in dire straits.
