Mark is now 30 lb. They didn't do a height check. Probably just as well. He was displeased enough about getting on the scale, and downright furious about the forehead thermometer. He nearly did damage to the check-in guy over the pulse check. It was just a little bandage-like wrap for a toe or finger, just like the ones Jack had in the NICU. :;eye-roll:: He acted like it was an anal probe. I had to hold him down and remove his sock and shoe - there was no getting it on a finger.

We were seen by a guy in Coastie uniform, who told me he was a "PA student" working with the clinic. I took this to mean 'pediatric assistant student'. He said he'd consult with Dr. Westie after the exam, and she'd see us if she felt there was need.

Mark was exceedingly ill-behaved for him too. All the guy did was have me hold him on my lap for an ear check, then try to use his stethescope to check Mark's chest while he remained on my lap. Ended up with the guy holding Mark by the waist in mid air while Mark squirmed and fought, so he could complete the chest exam. ::sigh:: I told him about the upcoming appts. for the audiologist and speech therapist.

There's still a little bit of fluid left in his ears, but the guy said given Mark's age and my report of his recent drooling, he feels it's just because Mark is cutting his two-year-old molars. Mark's chest and lungs are fine. The guy and Dr. Westie want Mark to stay on Zyrtec for now - we refilled the prescription before we went home - and want us to come back in if there's any change. We're to tell the audiologist they can call Langley for a 'phone consult' if he needs to be seen by a ear-nose-throat specialist, rather than us coming back in to the pediatric clinic just to get yet another referral.

I appeased Mark with raisins and juice at the pharmacy, and he fell asleep in the car on the way home. He's still upstairs, but I'm about to check on him.

Jack only fell asleep within the last halfhour. :;sigh:: No nap for me today, or exercise either. Glad I got a cherry coke at the vending machine when I got Mark's juice.

Going to feed Mark a slightly belated lunch when he comes down. Depending on how long he takes to wake up, dinner may also be a little late. Going to take him to the playground if he's good. If he's still in Zodling-mode, we can just play in the living room. Maybe work on his trike-riding skills. ^_^

Still cannot find what became of the "Yami No Naka" sound file. Grrrr.

On the upside, thanks to Bob FM, I now know the name and group of one of my favorite 80's songs, so I can go pillage iTunes. ::points gleefully at 'music' field::

Edit: Who is 'Coolgorilla' and why are they cluttering up iTunes' search results for 'New Order? Harrumph.

O_O Aiden's only a year and a half older than Mark...

I'm starting to be really afraid of the growth spurts that will ensue when we finally get this boy-creature of mine eating his veggies, instead of getting his vitamins primarily from Flintstones and fruit juice...

Don't feel bad...Aiden would rather not eat ANYTHING then eat his veggies. I try and keep the V8 V-Fusion in the house. It has a full serving of fruits and veggies in every serving and it tastes just like fruit juice. I usually buy Aiden the Strawberry Banana.

As for the growth spurt lol...a girl I was working with, her son just turned 3. She said she had to buy him 2 sets of clothes this summer. One set was 3T then within less then 2 months he was into 5T. She said he is the size of a small kindergardener (and he's not fat!) lol. Oh well, I got some free clothes out of it! Tom's pretty tall, so I'm sure Marc is just taking after him. Once he starts fully running around, he'll work a lot of it off. That's what happened with Aiden. I think he stayed at 25-27 lbs for a whole year. But he's always in the 25 percentile so I don't worry too much...

Give the boys hugs and kisses from their Auntie!!
