Early morning mild irk and ire
Dec. 18th, 2008 07:56 amJack had his "two month" shots when he was a little over three months old. The original appt. was when he was two and a half months, but we were ten minutes late, due to parking at Ft Eustis being a stone bitch and me running behind schedule overall, so the Receptionist Brute Squad insisted we reschedule.
At the time, they told us this meant his "four month" appt. would need to be after he was five months old, because shots cannot be closer than two months apart. I was fine with this.
I've called a couple times to get him in, for the "four month", but been told "Nothing today, try again tomorrow". Today Tricare said they had NO openings at Ft. Eustis for well-baby visits until January sixth.
Joy.
I am going to be getting annoyingly pointed questions from Dr. Ortiz (not his usual provider) aimed at shaming what he/she will undoubtedly see as an anti vaccine or delayed vaccine mother. I had to deal with similar bullshit from a nurse at his last weight-check, which the oh-so-perky and condescending woman was certain had to reallllyyy be a well-baby visit.
Even better, January 1st, my AF-issued DOD decals will expire. The AF is discontinuing said decals. The Army is not. That's going to add a minimum of fifteen minutes to any trip there, so I can get a visitor's pass for my car.
