Randomness
Sep. 24th, 2007 02:31 pmI am noticing a trend, in both the Cape Girardeau MO and Sarpy Co. NE real estate markets, in three bedroom houses in our price range, for rooms which are bright screaming eye-burning red. ::faint shudder:: In what would otherwise be pretty decent homes. Granted, I've been a renter for years, and a dependent whose parents rented for longer than that, but what kind of wierd dayglo tomato color trend did I miss? o_O
davner, you are hereby on notice that while I won't rule out a house on the grounds of poor paint choices by the prior occupants, we are going to stun such frightfully red rooms into submission with a repainting within six months to a year of moving in. Even if I have to ship the kid(s) off to Gramma's for a week and we do it ourselves.
So sayeth She Who Must Be Obeyed.

Date: 2007-09-25 12:50 pm (UTC)At least I'm willing to help do the grunt work involved in removing the as-yet hypothetical unattractive paint. I refuse to be one of those wives who creates honey-do lists filled with grunt work, and then sits back with a cold beverage in a lawn chair while the husband does it all. I'll either chip in with a will, or not ask it to be done.
Mind you, if we ever need to rototill, I will delegate that to the husband and teenaged children, or a hired person if we can afford it. I'm small and light, and rototillers are big, mean, hard to handle machines.
