K-Mart's solvent again! ^_^

sethrakAs of yesterday, K-Mart's officially out of bankruptcy. Doesn't mean I'll get a raise or anything, but it's nice to know I won't have to worry about my job getting yanked out from under my feet before I'm ready to leave.
Also as of yesterday, as you can tell by the fact I'm updating, I'm home from Omaha. ( No, Plug, you're not going to see my answers to your lil quiz. Not in this one. I have off tomorrow from K-Mart, though, so you'll just have to wait. ^_^ )
I wish I were still there. ;_;
There's things and people I'll miss in Milwaukee. I'm having trouble figuring out how to break the news to my sisters and mother, as well, because I know they're going to miss me. But being away from Tom for months at a time is just too hard.
So, while I was there we went apartment hunting, and looked over an apartment complex he found near the base. It's pretty nice, and the price is decent. One of the secretaries is of evil bent, but if Tom complains to the nice one as vigorously as I know he will, I don't think she'll be there much longer. ^_^ He'll be there by the end of the month. I'm going to start getting my affairs in order here in Milwaukee, and in a couple months I'll be joining him there.
I have to admit I'm a little nervous. My last attempt at living with a boyfriend, three years ago, ended disastrously. But.... this feels different. Tom's a lot more intelligent, devoted, and mature than JT was. And I'm a lot smarter than I was three years ago. I think we stand a good chance of working out.
I do know this is far too important to me to risk screwing up. I love him too much. So I'm going to do everything I can to make sure this works.
It's going to be a busy few months ahead.
