Sep. 15th, 2010 01:00 pmMark's 4-year well-child visit went well. ^_^
He's 16.2 kilograms, which translates into 35.71-some pounds. Not sure of his exact height, as I was too busy keeping him standing straight and still and NOT on tiptoes. The nurse even managed to get a reading off of the blood-oxygen fingertip clamp. (While I held him firmly clamped on my lap.)
He won't be getting any shots until after his birthday next month, because he's technically too young.
Dr. Flather says he's doing fine. Keep offering him the same variety; keep including the liquid vitamins in his juice so he gets the stuff he needs without noticing the taste; keep up with the therapy we're already pursuing. We're getting a referral to a developmental pediatrician for the issues he's had lately trying to gnaw on rocks and eat dirt. Everything else is fine. ^_^
She did not think much of the person who saw Jack for his well-baby visit confusing Enfamil liquid vitamins with Enfamil formula. Heh. She wants me to keep giving Jack those vitamins, too, and says he's actually doing a halfway decent variety for his age group.
We went to Culver's afterward to celebrate. ^_^ I'm feeling better, esp. compared to this morning. Apparently liquid Nyquil, while doing an excellent job drying out the swamp in my sinuses, knocks me for a considerable loop. I didn't really feel completely myself until I'd eaten half a cheeseburger.
Now I just have to ride herd on my Zodlings the rest of the afternoon. We are staying home, so I can rest. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel up to taking Jack to a playground. Def. not today. And def. no more Nyquil unless the swamp flares up again.
