Freaky Microwave...
I'm currently going over my resume one last time before attending a job fair tomorrow...
As I examine the file, I hear a beep from the microwave. Odd. I haven't used it all day. I take a look, and the time's set for five seconds.

Now, there have been occasions since Tom's left when I returned from several days' absence to find the timer set at 55:55. Hitting the Stop/Reset button always returns it to the correct time.
But this time, when I press the button, it beeps, flicks to the correct time, then flicks back to five seconds. I tried it again several times. Same thing. Then I tried hitting the power button so's it would cook for five seconds. It did so.... but then as I turned to depart the kitchen, the thing beeped again and went back to five seconds.
Dang nab it, I need that thing working correctly. I've got stuff I can make on the stove, but that microwave's useful too.
