Some progress on the school front

Got a call from the district special ed. coordinator this afternoon. She wanted to arrange a time for Mark's in-home therapy visits once school starts. Her suggestion was 10-10:45 am.

I explained that while this sounded fine, I had no idea when Mark's classes were going to be, as no one had contacted me from his school.

"He's at MacAulliffe now, right?"

As far as I know; my info came from the lady who came in to evaluate my other son for speech therapy, and she only knew which school he was going to, nothing else. No one has officially contacted me to confirm this, or give me any other information.

"Ok, let me check my paperwork...." Pause. "Yes, he is at MacAulliffe".

Well, I still don't know whether he's morning or afternoon, ma'am.

"I *think* I saw somewhere he's afternoons... ::paper rustle:: "Yes he is. Let me talk to my coworker, she used to work at MacAulliffe." Brief pause. "She says they start afternoon school there around noon. So 10 to 10:45 should work out just fine, if that's ok with you."

I agreed, and he's now set at Tuesday and Wednesday, 10-10:45 am, with Ms. Dani, his in-home helper from last year. ^_^

I now also know that preschool in D11 starts the 23rd, not the 18th like the rest of the district. And the special Friday schools start the following week.

A copy of the Verra-bedamned bus schedule, and confirmation that he IS in fact going to afternoon classes, would be nice. If I don't hear something soon I'm going to call the school directly. The offices are finally open again for the school year.
