Dear self,
Baking cupcakes is different from baking regular cakes. You do not need to scrape every last bit of usable batter from the mixing bowl into the little paper cups. Too much batter makes for sad misshapen multiple-conjoined cupcakes.
Also, please invest in an ice cream scoop with a squeezable handle for pouring batter. Neither the fancy gravy ladle nor anything else on hand does a good job. It's not just the caffiene and late hour giving you trouble pouring.
