Guess who woke Mommy at 5:30 am with shrill screams of terror mingled with pain?
Guess who turned out to have partially removed the fitted sheet, unzipped the waterproof mattress cover, climbed into the resultant fabric cave, and gotten stuck?
If you guessed Thing One, aka That Boy, aka Zodling Prime, aka Mark, you would be correct.
We have since obtained a different waterproof cover. The old one was for the elongated 'college dorm' variant of twin mattresses, not the normal size his bed actually is. I can only hope this means it will fit too snugly for him to get trapped. Again. (Readers may recall he once got stuck inside a hole he tore between the plastic backing and fabric upper of a fitted waterproof sheet, after managing to roll the entire mattress three-quarters of the way upside down and off the bed.)

Things that are making my inner Whovian nerd lol immoderately:
College student angsting to her favorite action figure: http://www.masseycollege.ca/alumni/westofbathurst/index.html (If you read this after Jan 22, go to the comic for that date, not the current date.)
I don't know what's more awesome, a Darkwing Duck/Doctor Who crossover, even if it's just a single comic panel.... Or learning there's a Darkwing Duck comic available. ::rubs hands together gleefully:: http://community.livejournal.com/doctorwho/7184837.html

I sincerely hope that the end of the Roe Vs. Wade anniversary weekend means we will cease to be bombarded quite so heavily with commercials starring Norma L. McCorvey. Yes, I know, this is not all about me, but those commcericals are terribly annoying, and play excessively often.
I also hope we get enough accurate media coverage of the illegal abortion clinic recently shut down in PA to shut up conservatives' blather. What that SOB was doing was not abortion, was not legal, and nobody who supports reproductive choice condones anything that went on there. Somehow I doubt that this will actually occur... But I can dream.
